We have never read a more comprehensive study of the history of a village and its people. It is a remarkable piece of painstaking work, presented in an accessible fashion.
In addition to Vatisker Diaries, Ian has greatly helped the society in successfully answering genealogical queries from members of the public, far and wide. All his work is carried out in his customary, approachable and obliging manner, with great attention to detail.
The Society looks forward to Ian’s next project, Coll Diaries, the story of an adjoining village to Vatisker.”
