Come along, share what you have, and help preserve the history of the village.
I will be at Comunn Eachdraidh Sgìre a’ Bhac's portcabin, Back, Isle of Lewis on Wednesday 15th October 2025 between 9am and 3pm to gather any stories, information or photographs you would like to contribute to the project. All photographs etc will be scanned and returned immediately.

Vatisker Diaries Book Launch Event
Filmed at the launch of Ian Quigley's history of Vatisker village, which was held in the Back Free Church Hall on 25 November 2023.
The evening featured a rendition of the psalm-tune "Vatisker", precented by Murdo Graham, Catherine Hill.
Ian Quigley was then interviewed by Coinneach MacIomhair. The video also shows a slideshow of historical photos compiled by Ian.
