We can try and help you locate and retrieve copies of key documentation relating to your ancestors for an affordable cost of £1.50 per document.

Most Common Documents

- Pre 1855 Church Records - births/baptisms, banns/marriages, deaths/burials

- From 1855 statutory registers - births, marriages, deaths

- Scottish Census Records - 1841 to 1921

If you have a request that is not for one of the above please provide details of what you require and I will try and source for you.

I will assess the information you provide and will contact you via email within two working days. In my response, you will receive:

(1) Any requests for additional information.

(2) A description of the work to be undertaken based on your submissions.

Once you confirm the work to proceed I will undertake the work to retrieve the required documents. When completed I will send you an invoice and payment link for the total cost. I would expect this to normally within two weeks of receiving the agreement to proceed. Your digital images will be sent to you by email/s shortly after payment is received.

It will not always be possible to provide physical copies of these documents for all of your ancestors.

If I am unable to source a copy of any document there will be no cost charged for that document.

In some instances documents will be available to view but not provide a digital copy. I will provide you with a transcription of those documents. There will be a charge of £1 per transcription where this is the case.

Local Photograph Service

Photographs of gravestones, churches, and other significant buildings in the regions where your ancestors once lived can really start to bring to life your family's history.

If you no longer reside in the area I am happy to provide a professional photograph service on your behalf.

Located in the heart of the Central Lowlands of Scotland we are within easy reach of most locations within the central belt of Scotland (Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Lothians, Fife and Stirlingshire).

Our pricing is straightforward for anywhere in those regions - £40 + £5 per photograph.
